Sadhguru: Yoga is not about how to bend your body or hold your breath. It is the science of understanding the human mechanism. The word “Yoga” means “union”. Union signifies experiencing the universality of who you are. For example, modern science has proven that the entire existence is just one energy manifesting itself in various forms. If this scientific fact becomes a living reality for you, that you begin to experience everything as one, you are in Yoga.

It is crucial that we empower human beings with this inner technology because today, experts at the United Nations are talking about a mental health pandemic. Loneliness is becoming prevalent across the world. In the United States, the Surgeon General reports that one out of two people experience loneliness. Loneliness is the incubation period for psychological illnesses.
Mental illness does not affect just certain types of people. It can affect anyone. Ensuring that you don’t go there is the important thing because human experience – pain and pleasure, joy and misery, agony and ecstasy – is determined from within. External events, even between two members of a family, never happen hundred percent your way. But what happens within you must be determined by you.
It is my wish and my blessing that every human being on the planet experiences the Miracle of Mind. All human beings, without exception, have the capability to become architects of their own joy and masters of their own destiny. Yoga offers us the key.

All are welcome to assist and fulfill this most important cause for the wellbeing of future generations. Leaving a better generation of human beings than what we are is a responsibility that we cannot shirk.
