Sanwa Idli is prepared with richness of Barnyard Millet which improves your digestion, manage obesity and regulates blood sugar levels. It is a rich source of protein, minerals and vitamins. Urad dal fulfils the need of zinc and potassium in the body and prevents anemia.
Ingredients
Urad Dal ½ cup
Sanwa (Barnyard Millet) ½ cup
Water 4 cups
Oil 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds ½ tsp
Sesame Seeds ½ tsp
Fresh coriander leaves For garnishing
Salt ¼ tsp
Method of Preparation
Wash and soak Urad dal and Sanwa overnight. Grind Urad dal and Sanwa with some water in the mixer grinder separately and mix them. Keep the batter in a warm place for 8 hours. Thereafter, add turmeric and salt to the mixer. Take an idli stand and apply some oil at the botton. Pour the batter and steam the idlis. Carefully remove from container. Serve them with sambhar and chutney.
