Jharkhand SCC organises Yoga Workshop

Jharkhand SCC on the occasion of 51st day of 100 days countdown to International Day of Yoga organised Yoga Mahotsav at Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Ranchi with Grameen Upkar Sansthan, Jharkhand on “Yoga Program for Health and Wellness”.

Dr. Bhupesh Kumar, Principal, IHM, Ranchi was present as the chief guest. The event also saw the presence of Shri K. D. Tiwari, Gram Upkar Sansthan, Jharkhand, Shri Amit Kumar, Secretary, Jharkhand SCC, IYA, Shri Bajrang Sharma, Cultural Coordinator of GRAUS, Dr. Rakesh Parashar, Joint Secretary of Yoga Sangh, Jharkhand and Smt Parinita Singh, Vice Chairperson, Jharkhand SCC and Assistant Lecturer, Department of Yoga, Ranchi University, Shri Shivesh Kumar Singh, Shri Shashikant Mishra, Smt Mridul Shukla and the teaching and non-teaching staff of IHM marked their presence. Students from other schools were also present.

Then on April 22, 2022 the state chapter marked 57th day of 100 Days Countdown to 8th International Day of Yoga, Jharkhand State Chapter of Indian Yoga Association with another workshop on Mental Health and Wellness. The workshop was held in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission English School, Sidgora, Jamshedpur. The first session of the program started with a group yoga practice at 6:15 am, which saw participation from 5000 people from 50 different places of Jamshedpur.

Thereafter the second session started with the workshop at 10 am. The keynote speakers for the same were Swami Atmapriyananda, Pro Chancellor of Ramakrishna Mission University, Dr HR Nagendra, Chancellor, SVYASA, Bangalore, Prof.K.D.Tiwari, Assistant Registrar of the Central University, Ranchi and others.


The welcome address was delivered by the Mr. Apoorva Das, Principal, Ramakrishna Mission English School, Sidgora, Jamshedpur. After this Dr. Parinita Singh, School of Yoga, Ranchi University and Vice Chairperson, Jharkhand SCC practiced inner silence with all.

Thereafter, Swami Yogadhishanand of Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Ranchi, Shri K Prabhakar Rao of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar, Shri Ramjivan Pandey of Patanjali Yogpeeth, Smt. Baby Kumari of Art of Living, Yoga teacher Archana Kumari addressed all.

Shri Amit Kumar, Secretary, Jharkhand Chapter, IYA extended the vote of thanks.
