Chandigarh Chapter celebrated the Basantotsava

The Chandigarh Chapter of Indian Yoga Association celebrated the Basantot­sava on February 14, 2021 with a cultural program through the webinar. It was at­tended by yoga members ranging from six years old to 80 years old. Dance pro­grams of younger members and yoga activities of children captivated everyone.

Shri Ajit Handa, Vice Chairman stressed on improving the talent of chil­dren. He said, “Such programs are necessary for complete development of children along with their mental development as well as physical and mental development.”

Mr. Naveen Phulera, Chairman said, “Children are the future of the country. It is extremely important that they are happy for the stronger foundation of national development.” Smt.Krishna Goel, Vice Chairperson also explained that there is a scientific mystery behind Basantotsava.

Rajasthan SCC conducts Webinar on Yoga for Divine Life

A Webinar on “Yoga for Divine Life” was organized on February 6, 2021 by the Rajasthan State Chapter Commit­tee of IYA with Dev Sanskriti Vish­wavidyalaya (DSVV), Haridwar. The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Swatantra Sharma, Secretary, Rajasthan State Chapter Committee, IYA and Shri Kapil Dev Kesari, Organizing Secretary, Rajas­than State Chapter Committee, IYA.

Speaking as the main speaker of this webinar, Dr. Chinmay Pandya, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Chinmay Pandya, DSVV said, “The land of India is a sacred since time immemorial and this is famous in the world as Yoga Bhumi. Yoga is not just about relieving physical problems or gaining physical resilience, but yoga is looking for the pos­sibilities of human life. In the form of the rise of the possibility of human life, it can be reached to God and in the form of a fall, the culprit can be animals or vampires. Yoga is going to regulate the attitude towards life, its shape and nature. The ulti­mate goal of yoga is to understand yoga as a means to reach altitude and help every human being to reach the lev­el of higher conscious­ness. This conscious­ness has manifested in various forms and in historical form ev­eryone from Hanuman to Arjuna has been an extension of this con­sciousness. Yoga is the attainment of the right purpose of life.”
The webinar also saw the presence of Shri Ravi Tumuluri, Joint Secretary, IYA. In his address he explained that the purpose of IYA is to bring the flow of unity throughout the world. All the traditions of yoga are being represented IYA. This effort made in India proves that all the people of the world can be unified through yoga.

Dr. Vivek Vijay, Shri Varun Manik and Shri Rajkumar extended their support to the event. The program was conducted by Shri Himanshu Paliwal, Joint Secretary, Social Media, IYA.

UPSCC organizes Seminar on Precautions during Yoga Practice

The Uttar Pradesh State Chapter of IYA conducted a semi­nar on Precautions during Yoga Practice on February 14, 2021. The seminar was addressed by Dr. Amarjeet Yadav, Presi­dent, Shri Bhagwan Singh, Vice-President, Smt.Vandana Ba­ranwal, Joint Secretar, Yogacharya Akhilesh Pandey, Trea­surer, Shri Ashish Tandon and Dr. Brajesh Kumar Gupta.

The aspects and prospects regarding Yoga & Health both were dis­cussed in depth during the session. The discussion focused on yogas­ana practice with cleanliness, empty stomach, prayer, Saatvic aahaar, comfortable clothing, flat place, time, proper breathing, relaxation techniques, and shanti path. Important points like one should avoid jerk­ing/hurry/curry during performing yogasana were also stressed upon
Several people including Shri Vijay Kumar Mishra, Shri Prince Chaudhary, Shri Amarjeet, Smt.Shalini Mehrotra, Shri Rohit Kaushik, Shri Sanjay Kumar Rai, Shri S L Yadav and Shri Pradeep Pathak attended the seminar. The seminar concluded with Shri Amar Singh Bhadauria, Secretary, UPSCC extending his thanks to all.
