Social Media management dominates Puducherry UTCC meeting 

The Puducherry Union Territory Chapter Committee members met on May 7 and 17, 2020 to discuss the progress of the Committee, the road ahead, and steps and activities to be undertaken to drive and boost up memberships via Zoom Video Conferencing.

The meeting was attended by members of the UTCC namely Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Vice Chairperson, Dr Sampadananda Mishra, Secretary, Dr. Selvanathan, Joint Secretary, Shri Auro Ashish, Joint Secretary (Govt Liasoning), Dr Meena Ramanathan, Joint Secretary (Academics & Accreditation), Dr R. Balaji, Joint Secretary, Shri Dayanidi G., Member, Ms. Garima Setia, Member, Shri Chandrakant Prakash, Member and Shri Karthik. Shri Ravi Tumuluri ji, Joint Secretary, IYA and Ms. Nandini Sethi, IYA Secretariat Office also marked their presence.

On the suggestion of Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, it was decided that during the lockdown, UTCC will conduct online MEET & GREET Programmes and the first edition was then held on May 24, 2020.
Shri Ravi Tumuluri ji proposed that Yoga Centres & Institutions should get accredited to IYA’s 50 hour, 200 hour & 500 hour yoga certifications. Possibility of organizing Continuing Yoga Education (CYE) by IYA for Yoga Professionals as a refresher was explored. The need to actively promote UTCC on social media and creating a YouTube Channel for the chapter made its way to the meeting.

In the meeting, Shri Auro Ashish was designated as Joint Secretary, Government Liaison activities.
On May 17, integration of state chapters’ social media with the Centralised Facebook Page was extensively discussed. Beside others who there for the May 7th meeting, Shri K Sivakumar, Member, PY UTCC also attended this one. In the meeting, Dr Sampadananda suggested that we should look at the possibilities of a massive Outreach program to promote and create awareness to people of Puducherry. The meeting concluded with Shanti Mantra.
