Mokshayatan Yog Sansthan 

“Shakti: Sanyam: Seva” (Power: Command: Service).
It has been embarking on new horizons under his holy tutelage for over 48 years.

Established in 1973 at the city of Saharanpur, U.P. where there was no awareness about YOGA Mok­shayatan Yog Sansthan started under most adverse circumstances and travelled a long journey becom­ing one of the most prominent Yoga institute of India today, teaching thousands of students all over.

It was given the name Mokshayatan Yog Sansthan by Gurudev Swami Bharat Bhushan ji saying, “Moksha (perfection or liberation from sorrows caused by ig­norance) Ayatan (expansion)” ‘this ashram is not the destination but just a way to perfection and liberation from the bondages of ignorance’. Again he continued, “Mokshaya (for salvation) Tan (human body)” ‘this body is a means to attain salvation and not for being indulged in sensory gains only’.

Mokshayatan Yog Sansthan has spread the humani­tarian aspect of yoga across the globe with a motto ‘Shakti: Sanyam : Seva’ without any govt. grant but by very nominal maintenance support from students.

Objective

Aim of Mokshayatan Yog Sansthan is to lead the society and the individual to Physical, mental and emotional balance and to cultivate and protect the great cultural and spiritual heritage of India through the great Indian science of Yoga. It also aims at developing awareness towards new responsibilities and towards reestablishing the human values in the society through its various projects.

Objective of Mokshayatan yog Sansthan is to make this world a better place to live for generations to come !

Ashram aims at 4 Shalas- Pathshala- educational Institutes, Vyayamshala- Health Centres, Goshala- serving and saving cows and Yajan shala.

Bharat Yoga


Today, when Incomplete yoga is being propagated and marketed for personal gains under different brand names, and the essence of original Indian Yoga is under threat, Sansthan’s “Bharat Yog” – the true yoga from Bharat Varsh the motherland of yoga science : imparts the knowledge of the purest form of yoga to several countries including USA, China, Ja­pan, Austria, Mauritius, Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, South Africa, Taiwan etc.

Jago Bharat Dhyan Yog Andolan
On Gandhi Jayanti 2007, Mokshayatan launched countrywide campaign Jago Bharat Yog Dhyan An­dolan with Zee Network to spread awareness of the right form of Indian yoga through Yog Shivirs and regular telecast.

Prime Contributions:
One of sansthan’s prime contributions is ‘Yoga Ga­tis’ (Yogic movements); a scientific vision to pro­vide all round health benefits to even those who have absolutely no knowledge of yoga. As risk free yoga style, it gained tremendous acceptance worldwide, in combating various threats to human health and in reducing high costs of medical treatments along with Yoga Dance & Creative Musical meditations.

Mokshayatan introduced a triangular system of physi­cal development based on Sattwik diet, Yoga and Isometrics.

Noted Visitors
Mokshayatan has attracted dignitaries from across the globe including heads of states and President of India to visit and share its activities.

Various Luminaries including H.E. President of India, Speaker of Parliament, noted celebrities, diplomats, chief ministers, governors, Artists, Cabi­net Ministers have visited Mokshayatan and have acknowledged its contribution to yoga and human harmony.

Former Prime Minister Sh Atal Bihari Vajpayee kindled Mokshayatan’s zeal to serve and shape the youth of India through yoga in 1978.

Mokshayatan believes Yoga will establish Indian sovereignty in the world and with this belief it initiated Spiritual Tourism on behalf of Government at Rishikesh since 1990 through first International Yoga Festival. This festival became a platform to promote yogashrams, shrines and national monuments besides travel, transportation, hotel, industry and trade.
International Yoga Festival became annual feature and 25th edition, inaugurated by Honorable Minis­ter of Tourism saw a participation of around 2000 foreign delegates. And in the Silver Jubilee Year of the festival, entire world accepted 21 June as Interna­tional Day of Yoga through UNO on the initiative of our visionary Prime Minister.

Mokshayatan & Media
Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Larry D Mattingley of USA and Zee News besides Ministry of I&B have made documentaries on Mokshayatan and its contributions in yoga. With its yoga programs on air since 1978, it has the largest archive of yoga telecasts on Indian and foreign television channels.

Bharat Yoga shows are at telecast at all leading channels of India by its experts and Acharyas.
Mokshayatan also has its own production unit named as Bharat Yoga Media to pro­duce Yoga oriented shows with reach of more than 5 lakh subscribers and 4 crores views. Mokshayatan & Yoga Education Representatives of Mokshayatan designed the first ever diploma and Degree course in Yoga for Univer­sity education as member of the curriculum commit­tee. As the member of Task Force & IDY committee under Ministry of Health, GOI sansthan is working for monitoring and promotion of yoga as well as the founder prime member institution of Indian Yoga As­sociation.

Mokshayatan runs its regular short term, diploma and teacher training courses in Yoga at its several centres world wide.

Mokshayatan has been providing guest faculties in different Institutes of Administration, Police and ITM under Ministry of Defense and expert member for various committees of Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy under Ministry of Health, GOI.
Mokshayatan’s Rashtra Vandna Mission established various Shaheed Smaraks, libraries dedicated to greatest Indians, blood donor teams from all faiths that promote co-existence and patriotism among youth. They render relief to society during adversi­ties. Mokshayatan’s yoga publications & CDs on more than 50 subjects have helped people enjoy medicine free health.
Mokshayatan started the first ever yoga oriented Na­tion Builders’ Academy that embraces Yoga tech­niques for all round development of children and Bharat College of Performing Arts for the promotion of Indian Classical Arts in a Yogic way.
Prisoners were diverted to creativity through Mok­shayatan’s applied yoga sessions under first ever “Sarthak Prayaas Yojna”.
Mokshayatan’s Live blood bank has saved thousands of human lives and has thousands of active members.

Founder President
Mokshayatan was founded by Yog Guru Swami Dr. Bharat Bhushan ji, when there were no prominent resources to promote yoga, has celebrated its 47th foundation day gracefully this year. Gurudev Swami Bharat Bhushan ji has devoted his life to the promo­tion and propagation of the Divine science of India ‘Yoga’. It was back in 1991 that Gurudev received ‘Padma Award’ for his services in the field of Yoga at the age of 39 and became the first ever recipient of Padma Award in the field of Yoga. He also received Hon. D.Lit from CCS State University, Life time achievement award by U.P. Government and AIIMS New Delhi along with several other National & Inter­national honors and Awards and has been declared as 50 high & mighty people of India by India Today.

Mokshayatan Yog Sanst­han has trained thousands of students who are working in promotion and propagation of Yoga and yogic lifestyle all over the globe, one such example is Acharya Pratishtha ji, a renowned face in the field of Yog, she is an ex student of Mokshayatan Yog Sansthan who has devoted her life for the promotion and propaga­tion of Yoga and has taken the lineage forward.

An Ex Diplomat, Classical Dance Exponent and a re­nowned Media face Acharya Pratishtha ji has given more than 36 television shows on her subject at lead­ing Tv channels, authored 5 books, created 26 CDs & DVDs and has travelled the world for the promotion of Yoga and has received several honors and awards for her contribution including International honor of ‘Ayurveda Samman’ by Association of Ayurvedic Physicians Mauritius and has received ‘Tejaswini’ sam­man by H.E. The Vice President of India as the Top 100 women of India by Doordarshan .
