Chandigarh Chapter meets Online to discuss Yoga Promotion 

A meeting of IYA Chandigarh Chapter was held on­line on August 25, 2020. It was presided over by Dr. Jaideep Arya ji, Joint Secretary, IYA and Regional Coordinator, North Region, IYA.

The meeting started with welcome address by Shri Navin Phulera, Chairman of the Chandigarh Chapter. Thereafter, Dr. Jaideep Arya ji congratulated all for the grand success of the Webinar on the importance and role of yoga during Corona period.

He also stressed upon the feasibility of making at least 25 more members shortly, out of which one member should be an expert under the category of fee of .1000/-, and one member should be a per­manent member liable to pay life membership fee of .10,000/- and other 23 members may be of ordinary category. All present supported the idea whole heart­edly. He also emphasized upon making other such programs for bringing the IYA to limelight.

Further, discussions were held where everyone pres­ent from the Chandigarh UT Chapter participated. On the suggestion of Smt.Krishna Goyal, Vice Chairper­son to hold another Webinar on the Teachers day, views of all the members were invited. Dr Akshay Anand, Vice Chairperson suggested preparing Yoga related program with the participation of children to bring yoga awareness to them to be organised by IYA Chandigarh Chapter along with Yoga Scholars.

Dr. Meena Shah, Joint Secretary suggested to honour some teachers also who are lending hand in the advancement of Yoga. Shri Navin Phulera made a committee comprising of Dr. Akshay Anand, Dr. Roshan Lal, Joint Secretary, Smt. Krishna Goyal and Shri Vinit Joshi, Vice Chair­person and Smt.Sudha Rana, Treaurer for plan­ning the program.
