Constituted in 2008, Indian Yoga Association (IYA) has come a long way. The association is a maiden attempt to unite all yoga paramparas in a common cause. IYA is committed to promotion and advancement of Yoga and its applications around the world and industry-cum-self regulatory body to facilitate activities of member institutions. We bring to you those turning points in the history of IYA that have had an unforgettable impact and have taken the association to a completely different height.
IYA signs MoU with UPBTVP
Indian Yoga Association (IYA) signed the MoU with UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad (UPBTVP) on August 31, 2018 to work together as collabrative partnership for Yoga in Braj area. The event was attended by Shri Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, Dr HR Nagendra, President, IYA, Smt.Kamlesh Barwal ji, Secretary General, IYA, Smt.Hema Malini ji, MLA, Mathura and others.
The MoU aimed at formation of Yoga Villages in Braj, Yoga Training Centers, Yoga in Healthcare, Yoga Skilling Programs and Centers, Yoga in Temples, Yoga Tourism, and Yoga Economic Zones. It was decided that UPBTVP will facilitate and coordinate all yoga activities of IYA in Braj area and IYA will provide all Yoga knowledge base and expertise for integration of yoga in Braj region development.
