IYA Central Secretariat’s Outreach Efforts 

On the 19th July, IYA team including Prof Kambhampati Subrahmanyam, Sri DR Kaarthikeyan and Ravi Tumuluri visited Rajarajeshwari Temple and paid their respects to Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Puri Mahaswamiji, the present pontiff of Sri Kailash Ashrama Mahasamshtana. Sri Sri Sri Tiruchi Swamigal was the founder who attained Mahasamadhi on 14th January, 2005. Sri Kailasha Ashrama Mahasamsthana will soon be IYA Associate Center.

On the 20th July, Dr SP Mishra visited Prashanti Kutiram, S-VYASA University campus while in Bangalore. During the visit, he paid respects to Guruji Dr HR Nagendra, Chancellor of the University. He discussed several issues about IYA PrCB and how to improve sustainability. While at Prashanti, he visited VYASA Coordinator, Mr Mohan Kishore, who assured him of taking IYA PrCB to all VYASA affiliates. He also visited the Registrar’s, Prof MK Sridhar, office. He also visited the residence of Prof Kambhampati Subrahmanyam, Advisor to the Chancellor. While at Prashanti, he visited Ayuryoga Life Institute and met Sri Pritam Kumar Sinha. He discussed the various aspects of a digital university and agreed to explore mutual synergies between the IYA PrCB and Ayuryoga.

On the 23rd July, Dr SP Mishra, went to the Art of Living campus in Bangalore. Here he met former SG and current Director, SPPRC, Smt Kamlesh Barwal who is also the International Coordinator at AOL.

He discussed many issues about quality certification with her. In the future, IYA PrCB may conduct AOL examinations.

Then on the 24th July, he visited Samyama Trust Yoga Research Foundation where he met Dr Dhanwantari Wodeyar, Managing Trustee. Sri Wodeyar discussed with him taking the Quality Examinations through IYA PrCB for both his centers

From there, he went to Pyramid Spiritual Science Academy & Pyramid Valley International which houses the College of Yoga Studies. There he met Dr Subramanian A, Principal and discussed with him Quality Certification. Dr Subramanian assured him of support from Pyramid Valley.

IYA team of Sri Ravi Tumuluri and Sri Pritam traveled to Delhi on the 27th July. Then they went to meet the Chairman, AICTE, Prof Anil Sahasrabuddhe ji and discussed about Yoga MOOCs on SWAYAM for Universities.

On the 28th July, Smt Ankita Pandey joined the two of them for the meeting. The IYA team went to IGNOU and met the VC, Prof Nageshwara Rao. The team also met the Pro-VC, Prof Uma Kanjilal. The team submitted a draft of the MOU for their consideration. Prof MK Sridhar, Eminent Academician was also present during the discussions.

In the afternoon, they went to Shastri Bhavan to meet the Secretary, MSJE, R Subrahmanyam and Joint Secretary, Smt Radhika Chakravarty. There the IYA team discussed the implementation of Yoga for OLD and Age and Yoga for Drug Deaddiction.

From here, the team moved to National Institute of Open Schooling. Here, the IYA team met Director, Vocational, Sri SK Prasad, Joint Director, Dr. T.N. Giri and Section Officer, Sri Pawan K Chauhan. The team submitted the draft MoU with NIOS.

On the 29th July, the team met Prof Harishankar Singh, Head of the Department, Education, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Central University of Lucknow (BBAU). Here, the team discussed the next batches of FCY, CCY and ACCY Yoga Courses.

On the 31st July, the team reached Ranchi and were received by Sri Amit Kumar, Secretary, JSCC, and Sri Manoj Rai, Treasurer, JSCC. They were later joined by Vice Chairperson, Dr Parinita Singh.

Then they were accorded a warm welcome by Bharhmachari Ekatwananda to the Yogoda Satsangh Fellowship of India Ashram. The Yogoda Satsangh is a Member Institution of IYA.
