Legacy Series

Adhyatma Sadhna Kendra

Holistic well-being has today become the need of the hour as we constantly try to navigate our way in a world that is fraught with challenges in all spheres. To attain the balance between the physical, mental and emotional, perhaps the most effective methodology which is subscribed to by millions across the world is Meditation.

Founder
Established in 1964, Adhyatma Sadhana Kendra (ASK) is a living tribute to the vision of Yuga-Pradhan Ganadhipati Shree Tulsi and was set up by Akhil Bharatiya Anuvrat Nyas to provide a serene space for spiritual aspirants to learn and practice Yoga, Meditation, various therapies and Naturopathy techniques. Anuvrat Nyas was initiated by Gurudev Shree Tulsi with the aim of social upliftment and personality development in the nation and the ideology is being currently propounded under the guidance of Acharya Mahashraman ji, the eleventh Acharya and Supreme Head of the Jain Swetembar Terapanth group to promote various programmes and events to elaborate the concept of anuvrat.

Legend

The establishment of the Anuvrat Nyas by Acharya Shree Tulsi became the ground on which the foundation of Preksha Meditation was laid. Acharya Tulsi’s disciple, Acharya Mahapragya devoted himself to the deep practice of meditation, experimenting with various techniques which led to the formulation of the well organized and scientific method of Preksha Meditation in 1970 by him. Bringing together Meditation, Yogasana, Pranayama and Mantra,

Special Techniques or Specializations
At Adhaytma Sadhna Kendra, training is imparted to lead a holistic and stress-free life. Based on Jain philosophy, the ancient Indian techniques of Preksha Meditation are developed by saints and spiritual masters are imparted by trained instructors with a view to empower the spiritual aspirants to attain self-realization along with body-mind wellbeing.
Although Preksha Meditation is rooted in ancient philosophy, it is authentically based on scientific principles which makes it an effective method for bringing about positive transformation in the individual by looking within for a cure. Preksha Meditation serves to purify our physical body, our mental, emotional, and spiritual health, and helps the individual connect to their consciousness while improving their behaviour and attitudes.
There are several techniques associated with the correct practice of Preksha Dhyaan, which include Kayotsarga (separation of the body from the consciousness), Antaryatra (the internal trip), Shvaas Preksha (perception of the breath), Chaitanya Kendra Preksha (perception of the psychic centre), Leshya Dhyaan (perception of colour), Anupreksha (contemplation) among others, which can be utilized to correct the individual afflictions of practitioners under the guidance of a guru.

Legacy
In more than five decades since its inception, the Adhyatma Sadhna Kendra has served to provide individuals with a means to live more holistic lives. A combination of guided meditation, yoga, Naturopathy, Kayotsarga, colour therapy and diet and nutrition are employed to help individuals find inner peace and manage and cure a range of disorders through drugless solutions for a wide range of psychosomatic disorders including stress, insomnia, depression and addiction, obesity, diabetes, eczema, constipation, heart, kidney and liver ailments, arthritis, thyroid and optical disorder, among others. Relationship counselling, children’s guidance and behaviour management therapies are also provided at the Kendra.
The Adhyatm Sadhana Kendra has been routinely organizing health camps for those seeking treatment at a holistic level. Presently, the Kendra conducts two residential health camps every month which are designed to rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul of the participants and guide them towards a healthier lifestyle.
Under a flagship program, the Kendra also conducts Corporate Excellence Program, a one-of-a-kind program, to help corporate executives at all levels find physical, mental and emotional health in order to stimulate clarity, innovation and productivity.

Location
Adhyatma Sadhna Kendra has been functioning as the Preksha Dhyaan Centre in the National Capital Region of New Delhi since 1975.
