Narchinthanaivattam (NCV), Associate Centre, IYA organises Yoga retreat on July 27 & 28, 2024 with the objective of promoting holistic well-being through Yoga and Naturopathy practices, in line with the mission of the Indian Yoga Association. The program received an overwhelming response, with over 100 participants from various parts of Tamil Nadu.
The event began with an inspiring Inauguration Ceremony, where Prof. Dr. R. Elangovan, Secretary of IYA-TNSC, highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life.
Day 1
The day commenced with a Morning Yoga Session led by Dr. Lara Abhishek, focusing on basic asanas and breathing techniques. This was followed by a comprehensive Workshop on Healthy Living, conducted by Dr. J. Preethi, who provided valuable insights into diet and lifestyle choices. The day concluded with an Evening Meditation Session by Dr. V.R. Arivazhagan, guiding participants through practices to enhance mental clarity and relaxation.
Day 2
Participants were introduced to Laghu Shankha Prakshalana (LSP) practices under the guidance of Dr. S. Murugesan, followed by an interactive Mud Therapy session. The day also featured an engaging Q&A session, allowing participants to interact with experienced yoga practitioners and clarify their doubts.
The retreat concluded with a closing ceremony, where feedback was collected, group photos were taken, and participants expressed high satisfaction with the program content, organization, and quality of instruction. Many reported feeling rejuvenated and motivated to integrate yoga into their daily routines.
