Prayaas, an endeavor by the Life of balance held an integrated yoga workshop at KK Haaku Stadium as a prelude to mark International Yoga Day 2023. The workshop was held in association with Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council and Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association.
Ms. Kanupriya Garg, founder of Life of Balance led the yog abhyaas session with her simple yet crisp aasnas, supported by yog practitioners Shri Sahil Gupta and Ms. Zoya Barkat. The core idea of the workshop was not only the yog abayas but integrated approach towards lifestyle, fitness with assimilation of our ancient old ayurveda and panchakarma in our daily lives.
Sh. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, Chairman, J&K UTCC stressed upon the use of simple home ingredients which are disease fighting and immunity builders. Shri Sidarth Mahajan, fitness and wellness coach motivated the participants to eat timely and say no to unhealthy junk food. Dr. Vikas Gupta (MD Ayurveda) impressed upon detoxification of body from time to time and role of ancient panchkarma. He also gave free consultation to the participants. All the key note speakers complimented each other with their expertise in respective fields and guided the participants towards a quality life. They also appreciated Ms. Kanupriya Garg for taking lead in this integrated health solutions program.
Highlight of the event was the 76 years old senior citizen who performed a perfect sarvaang asana and Jammu university yoga students demonstrating advanced yog aasnas to the mellow accompaniment of chants.
The workshop was supported by Ms.Varuna Anand, Chairperson FIICI Flo, Ms.Tina Aggarwal, Chairperson, Adhaariya Hair Oils and others. The workshop also embraced local entrepreneurs, local artists who brought to the table the ideas and products they had to offer. Ayush, J&K UT also exhibited its products. The workshop was attended by all age groups and concluded with eternally soulful flute and santoor.
