Yogi Divine Society’s

Yoga for humanity, the theme for this year’s Yoga Day could not have been more apt. Yoga aims at alignment and unification. While this alignment is not restricted to one’s own mind and body, it also percolates into unifying self with the environment. In today’s divided and disturbed world, the yogic principles can play a pivotal role in bridging the gaps. International Yoga Day celebrations took place in person after almost 3 years at Akshardham Swaminarayan Temple, Powai, Mumbai. The celebrations were graced by spiritual masters Bharat Bhai and Vashi Bhai. Focus was kept on emphasising the power of breath and its impact on management of physical and mental stress. People of all age groups participated in the celebrations. The Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) was followed and a comprehensive blend of asanas, pranayama and yoganidra were practised. Dr. Neeraj Tulara (practicing General Physician, Specialized With Infectious Diseases) was felicitated for his service to mankind during the pandemic. The highlight of the program was the knowledge shared on the depth of pranayama practices in the expansion of bio-energy.

The rains did not deter the practitioners from attending the program. With great gusto and enthusiasm, people of all age groups participated in the celebrations. The two-hour program was enriched with various dimensions of yoga, from bhakti to karma and from jnana to hath yoga practices.
