Continuing its vibrant contribution to the International Day of Yoga 2025 celebrations, NIRAMAYA, an Associate Centre of Indian Yoga Association, conducted a powerful series of programs under its ongoing campaign “Yoga Chetna Mahotsav,” now in its 81st edition. The initiative, active since March 8 and continuing until June 21, has aimed to organize over 100 awareness events, workshops, and yoga sessions across diverse communities.
A notable highlight came from Al-Hira National Senior Secondary School, which earned appreciation for mobilizing over 500 students in NIRAMAYA’s event. Adding to the momentum, a grand Yoga Utsav was held on May 18, 2025, at Pranabananda Vidyamandir (PVM), Lumding, Assam, in collaboration with Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), Ministry of Ayush.
The event witnessed more than 2,300 participants across all age groups.
Dignitaries such as Swami Sadhanananda Maharaj, Dr. Manabendra Dutta Choudhury, and Shatakshi Bhattacharjee graced the occasion. The Common Yoga Protocol session was expertly conducted by Dr. Sunil Sharma, while the meditation session was led by Shatakshi Bhattacharjee.
A thought-provoking panel discussion on yoga’s role in wellness and education added depth to the day’s events. Cultural performances and Bhagavad Gita recitations concluded the celebration, leaving participants enriched with the spirit of community, health, and holistic living.
