Celebrating Yoga: IYA joins ‘Yoga Mahotsav’ 100 Days Countdown to IDY 2024

The International Day of Yoga holds great significance for our yoga community. Recognizing its importance, the Indian Yoga Association (IYA) amplified the reach of Yoga by mobilizing support from its State Chapters, Member Institutes, Associate Centers, Life Members, Professional Members, and Volunteers. This initiative unfolded through a series of impactful events leading up to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2024.
On the 75th day of the 100-day countdown to IDY 2024, the Indian Yoga Association organized a significant ‘Yoga Mahotsav’ in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Chapter. This event aimed to maximize the awareness and participation in Yoga, drawing support from various stakeholders within Maharashtra.

Continuing its efforts, on the 68th day of the countdown, the ‘Yoga Mahotsav’ was hosted in association with the West Bengal State Chapter. This event served as a platform to promote Yoga’s benefits and gather enthusiasm for the upcoming IDY 2024 celebration.
Following the successful engagements, the momentum was maintained on the 67th day with a ‘Yoga Mahotsav’ organized alongside the Rajasthan State Chapter. This event marked another milestone in spreading the message and practice of Yoga across Rajasthan.

The overarching theme for this year’s International Day of Yoga is “Yoga for Women Empowerment.” This theme signifies a profound opportunity to celebrate and honor the unwavering spirit of women in the domain of Yoga. It underscores the role of Yoga in fostering empowerment, resilience, and holistic well-being among women.

Through these concerted efforts and thematic focus, the Indian Yoga Association aims to highlight the transformative impact of Yoga in empowering women, inspiring communities, and promoting wellness on a global scale. The collaborative spirit demonstrated through State Chapters, institutes, and volunteers underscores the collective dedication to advancing the practice and principles of Yoga for the benefit of all.
