Tamil Nadu SCC with Easy Yoga Studioz celebrates Women’s Day 

Tamil Nadu State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association in collaboration with Easy Yoga Studioz, Associate Centre of IYA celebrated 112th women’s day at Preethi Mahal (Alapakkam), Chennai. On the occasion world record yoga attempt of 23 asanas with props was made.
Distinguished guests from various fields were invited to honour the occasion.

Dr Elangovan, Secretary, Tamil Nadu SCC, Smt Samudra Roy, Luczotiq Pvt Ltd, women entrepreneur, Ms Latha Rao, Actress, Dr K Jyoti Dayanandan, Associate Professor of YMCA College of Physical Education, Dr S Selvalakshmi, Associate Professor, Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University were among the dignitaries who marked their presence.
The program conveyed the importance of making yoga an integral part of our daily life by extending the practice of yoga beyond the mat. Among the participants were enthusiasts of all age groups, young children to adults.

The official record of 20 minutes 23 seconds was done for the first time by Nova World Records. Yogasanas starting with warming up and stretching which was followed by a series of padmasanas, sukhasana, tadasana, bhujangasana and concluded with Shavasana.

The event was beautifully conducted and organised by Smt T Valli, Founder & Director, Easy Yoga Studioz & Cultural Secretary, Tamil Nadu SCC and Shri N Rajkumar, Founder & Director, Indian Events, Nova World Records. The event stood as a testimony that the importance of yoga is rapidly increasing every year and we must all make it a priority to value our health and better our lives.

The second event that followed was the Nova Golden Crown Awards honouring women of various fields. On the occasion of Women’s Day, Nova Golden Crown Awards aimed at celebrating women leaders who exemplify the spirit of excellence and women leadership in all fields, changemakers for their achievements and the important milestones reached by them in the past year.
