Constituted in 2008, Indian Yoga Association (IYA) has come a long way. The association is a maiden attempt to unite all yoga paramparas in a common cause. IYA is committed to promotion and advancement of Yoga and its applications around the world and industry-cum-self regulatory body to facilitate activities of member institutions. We bring to you those turning points in the history of IYA that have had an unforgettable impact and have taken the association to a completely different height.

Second Governing Council meet @ Isha

The second Governing Council meet of the Indian Yoga Association (IYA) was held at the Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore on February 10, 2020. Located on the outskirts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu it was a perfect location for the congregation of distinguished personalities.
The meeting was attended by Yogrishi Swami Ramdev ji Maharaj, Guruji Dr. H. R. Nagendra ji, Swami Chidanand Saraswati ji, Shri O. P. Tiwari ji, Shri Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev ji, Maa Hansa Yogendra ji, Dr.Ishwar Basavaraddi, Shri Subodh Tiwari ji, Smt.Kamlesh Barwal ji, Dr Jaideep Arya ji, Shri Ravi Tumuluri ji and others.

The second meeting of the IYA Governing Council explored ways and means to disseminate Yoga to larger groups by creating the right infrastructure that can help transmit the practices without dilution. The role of institutional partnerships, government support and promotion of Yoga as a sport were also discussed.
