The Indian Yoga Association, Chandigarh State Chapter, conducted a meaningful yoga education session for children of brick kiln workers at the Sivananda Center of Excellence, Kakrmajra. The session was led by Yog Guru Shri Sandeep Sharma from Ashiana Children’s Home, Sector 16, Panchkula, who has been consistently working towards building mental and physical wellness among underprivileged children.
The event focused on introducing yoga as a tool for holistic development, emphasizing the importance of physical exercise, mindfulness, and character-building. These children, often deprived of such enriching experiences, participated enthusiastically, gaining exposure to practices that enhance concentration, health, and emotional balance.
This initiative aligns with the Indian Yoga Association’s mission to take yoga to all sections of society. The Chandigarh Chapter’s outreach through this program reflects a strong commitment to inclusive wellness and the belief that yoga should be accessible to every child, regardless of background.
