Gramin Upkar Sansthan leads grand Yogotsav in Jharkhand as part of 100 days countdown to IDY 2025 

Gramin Upkar Sansthan, Ranchi—an Associate Centre of Indian Yoga Association and registered under the Society Registration Act, Govt. of Jharkhand—successfully organized a grand 100 Days Countdown Yogotsav to International Day of Yoga 2025 on April 11, 2025, at Cambrian Public School, Kathitand, Ranchi. The event, recognized by MDNIY (Ministry of AYUSH), Ministry of Education, and the Department of Youth Affairs, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 6,000 students and teachers across 30 centers.

Highlights included the presence of dignitaries such as the Dy. SP of Jharkhand Jaguar STF and the Secretary of Cambrian Public School, who joined 1,200 students and teachers in practicing the Common Yoga Protocol. CYP sessions were simultaneously conducted across DSE schools, KGBVs, and Welfare Schools in Ranchi, coordinated through Google Meet for SC/ST Residential Schools.

Smt Krishna Sneh, M.A. (Psychology), M.Ed., B.Ed., and Certified Yoga Trainer, led a special session on Yoga Mudras and hand symbols for health and wellness, coordinating with five schools from Bundu Subdivision. Mr. Shubham managed coordination in Chanho Block.

The second half of the day featured a seminar on “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” Shri V.K. Gadhyan, FICWA, Ranchi, highlighted the health benefits of daily yoga practice, while Shri K.D. Tiwary, Kulsachiv of Gramin Upkar Sansthan and Assistant Registrar at Central University of Jharkhand, emphasized yoga’s philosophical essence—“Yoga karmasu kausalam” and “Yogaḥ chitta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ.” Shri Amit Kumar, State Secretary, IYA SCC Jharkhand, also participated along with other yoga gurus.

The next major celebration is planned from June 15–22, 2025, culminating in the International Day of Yoga at the Central University of Jharkhand and Government Middle School, Manatu, Kanke, Ranchi.
