YVN at United Consciousness International Yoga Conference, Ujjain

The United Consciousness International Yoga Conference took place in Ujjain from 14th to 16th February 2025, bringing together delegates from 23 countries. The conference featured prestigious speakers, including Dr. H.R. Nagendra (Director, S-VYASA), and was graced by the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav.

A symbolic global unity ritual was performed, where delegates from different countries poured their river water into a common Kalash, which was later presented for Abhishekam at Mahakaleshwar Mandir. Similarly, soil and wood from different nations were combined to represent “One Consciousness, One Earth.”

Yoga Vidya Niketan (YVN), Member Institute of Indian Yoga Association, was represented by Vice-Chairman Shri Durgadas Savant and Joint Secretary Ms. Sonali Raul. On the first day, Shri Durgadas Savant delivered a thought-provoking lecture on “Natural Living During Acute Diseases.” He emphasized that diseases stem from toxin accumulation rather than germs and shared personal experiences of overcoming illnesses through natural cures and yogic practices. The lecture was widely appreciated by the audience.

Prior to the Ujjain event, YVN representatives visited the Indian Yoga Association (IYA) Camp at the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. However, due to technical issues, their scheduled practical yoga sessions could not be conducted. Despite this, YVN reaffirmed its commitment to spreading authentic yoga knowledge and looks forward to participating in future global yoga gatherings.
