The Gujarat State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association (IYAGC) successfully conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 7th January 2025, where key discussions and resolutions were passed to strengthen the chapter’s structure and future initiatives.
One of the major points of discussion was the resignation of key office bearers, including Acharya Birju Maharaj, Chairperson of IYAGC, and Shri Kamlesh Udasi, Vice President of IYAGC. In recognition of their valuable contributions, it was decided that both would be inducted into the Advisory Committee. Furthermore, a voting system will be introduced for selecting additional members to join the committee.
The meeting also focused on the formation of a new executive committee, with the following office bearers elected:

- Meetal Koticha Shah – Senior Vice Chairman
- Mauli Bavisker – Vice Chairman
- Rajeev Kumar Mishra – Secretary
- Bhakti Shah – Joint Secretary

A significant focus of the AGM was on expanding membership and increasing engagement within the Indian Yoga Association. Efforts will be made to connect more individuals with the organization and encourage active participation in IYAGC events and activities.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to all attendees, especially the outgoing members, for their dedicated efforts in fostering the growth and success of IYAGC. The newly elected committee members expressed their commitment to furthering the mission of the association and enhancing the reach of yoga in the region.
