The Chandigarh State Chapter Committee of the Indian Yoga Association held its scheduled meeting on January 27, 2025, at 8:00pm, chaired by Shri Ajit Handa ji and attended by a dedicated team of seven members. Dr. Pardeep Agnihotri extended his heartfelt appreciation for the team’s efforts in successfully organizing the Republic Day Celebration at Sector 42 and the 6-Day Yoga Camp at GCCBA, Sector 50. Their dedication to promoting yoga and community well-being was commended.

During the meeting, several key proposals were discussed. The chapter aims to conduct eight mega events, with six in Chandigarh and one each in Mohali and Panchkula. In recognition of their selfless service, Smt Sarbjit ji, Smt Sandhya Jain ji, Smt Rita Prasad ji, and Shri Sanjay Jain ji will be honored with mementos and certificates. Additionally, display banners for yoga workshops featuring the IYA logo will be provided for Smt Sarbjit ji and Smt Sandhya Jain ji, similar to those given to Smt Rita Prasad ji.

To further enhance the chapter’s initiatives, the team proposed inviting Mr. Venkatesh, a leading Yoga Teacher, to mentor yoga enthusiasts and provide high-quality training. In terms of financial accountability, the chapter will maintain an auditable account ledger starting April 1, 2025, as the bank account is now operational. This step ensures transparency and proper financial management.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks.
