In December, Geetham Institute of Alternative Medicine, Associate Centre of Indian Yoga Association hosted a series of transformative sessions centered on Varma therapy, which plays a significant role in enhancing physical, mental, and emotional health. The month-long series was conducted by experienced practitioners, each focusing on unique aspects of Varma therapy and its integration with other wellness practices.
Yogi S. Govindaraj kicked off the month with a session on Varma points related to the lungs. This session aimed to improve respiratory health, prevent lung-related issues, and enhance overall energy levels. Later in the month, he led another session on balancing chakras through Varma points, providing guidance on aligning energy centers for better well-being. This session also addressed the psychological benefits of chakra balancing, such as stress reduction, emotional healing, and enhanced focus.
Shri Asan Velayutham conducted a session that delved into the history and practical uses of Varma therapy. Participants learned how these age-old techniques could be applied to improve daily health, from preventing common ailments to boosting overall vitality. Healer Shri AC Senthil Kumara further explored the integration of acupuncture with Varma therapy, demonstrating how combining these ancient healing practices can help reduce chronic pain, alleviate stress, and restore energy balance.
The month concluded with Zen Master Dr. Jana’s session on Suniya Meditation, which incorporated Varma points to promote mental clarity, emotional calmness, and spiritual growth. Participants were introduced to techniques for energy alignment that fostered a deeper connection with themselves and their well-being.
