IYA organises 31st Meeting of the Executive Council 

The 31st Meeting of the Executive Council of Indian Yoga Association was held online on January 27, 2023, between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm. The meeting saw presence of Maa Dr Hansaji Yogendra, President, Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, Yogacharya S Sridharan, Vice President, Dr Chinmay Pandya Vice President, Yogacharya Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Joint Secretary, Dr N Ganesh Rao, Director Academics & Accreditation Committee, Dr SP Mishra, CEO, PrCB, Dr Manjunath Sharma, Director, Research Committee, Shri KC Jain, Treasurer and Shri PC Kapoor, Director, Standing Finance Committee.

Shri Subodh Tiwari welcomed all to start the meeting. Thereafter, honourable President Pujya Maa Hansa ji Yogendra in her opening remarks congratulated all EC members for almost completing one year of EC tenure. She further asserted that our spirit should continue to be high. We should strive to have more event and activities successfully this year, so that the presence of Indian Yoga Association is visible everywhere in its true sense promoting Yoga. This year should be more of gathering and conclave to create more buzz around IYA and bringing many under IYA Umbrella.

Taking over, the Secretary General then tabled the agenda. After briefly informing all about the actions taken, a detailed discussion was held on the National Conclave of State Chapter Committees and it was decided that the conclave will be held in Anuvrat Bhavan, New Delhi in the first week of March 2023. Furthers, discussions were held to organise the International Conference towards the end of the year with the support of Ministry of AYUSH.

Thereafter, the Directors of the Standing Committees presented the progress reports. Formation of Bihar and Manipur State Chapter were given approval.

To conclude the meeting, Maa Dr Hansaji Yogendra said that we should utilise our time systematically and efficiently. Let’s continue to achieve more with every passing day. The meeting ended with the shanti mantra by Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavnani.
