Indian Yoga Association organised the 32nd Meeting of the Executive Council online on February 28, 2023 from 6pm-7pm.

The meeting saw the presence of Maa Dr Hansaji Yogendra, President, Swami Atmapriyananda, Senior Vice President, Shri S Sridharan, Vice President, Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, Brahmacharini Shobha, Joint Secretary, Shri KC Jain, Treasurer, Shri PC Kapoor, Director, Standing Finance Committee, Smt. Kamlesh Barwal, Director, Standing Publications, Publicity and PR Committee, Dr Manjunath Sharma, Director, Standing Research Committee, Dr S P Mishra, CEO, PrCB, Shri Dheeraj Saraswat, Special Invitee and Ms Ganga Nandini, Special Invitee.

Meeting commenced with the Secretary General Shri Subodh Tiwari welcoming all and a prayer. Thereafter, Maa Dr Hansaji Yogendra in her opening remarks she applauded that the EC meetign is being held regularly and things have become streamlined. She then talked about the name of Yoga being misused. “Yoga goes everywhere and that we can’t have control on everything and anything, instead we should become loud, strong and heard by many spreading right message of Yoga,” she stressed.

Thereafter the minutes of the 31st Meeting of the Executive Council of IYA held online on 27th January, 2023 were confirmed. Action taken report of the same was also shared with the esteemed members which included issues related to FCRA for yoga institutes, enhancing the presence of IYA globally, strengthening the finances of IYA, interaction with state chapters are planned once in six months, international conference planned towards the end of the year, activation of standing committees and others.
