Gujarat SCC celebrates 4th Foundation Day 

Gujarat State Chapter Committee of IYA celebrated its 4th Foundation Day on December 29, 2022 online on the theme Yoga: Adhyatma aur Vijnana ka Samanvaya. The event commenced with a prayer. Ms. Meetal Koticha Shah, Senior Vice Chairperson of the state chapter invited the audience and all the yoga Gurus with her encouraging words and put forth the list of various activities happening at the Gujarat Chapter of Indian Yoga Association in the preceding year.

Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Joint Secretary and Director, ISCM, spoke on how science and spirituality come together and overlap each other. He emphasized on the importance of how both these seemingly different fields should work hand in hand in the current day context. He also highlighted that where the boundaries of modern science end, the premise of Yoga begins.

Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, IYA, mentioned how the practices of yoga have been researched for its spiritual as well as scientific facets which proves the highly scientific basics of this ancient spiritual knowledge system of Yoga.

Thereafter, Dr. S.P. Mishra, CEO, PrCB, elaborated on the quality of yogic teaching these days and the benefits of right and quality based teaching of Yoga to one and all. Acharya Birju Maharaj, Chairperson of the state chapter summarized the main points that the speakers had elaborated and also, in his ending note, expressed how the wonderful support of the central team of IYA has enabled the Gujarat Chapter to do its work in the field of spreading yoga to everyone, be it a teacher, seeker, practitioner, volunteer or a yoga samarthak.
Sri Shaileshji Rathod, Vice Chairperson, GJSCC offered a vote of thanks to the present Yoga Gurus and respected Speakers who enhanced the celebrations of the 4th foundation day of the Gujarat Chapter through their enlightening talks.

Behind the success of this event, untiring efforts of Shri Kamlesh Udasi, Vice Chairperson, Ms. Mauli Bavisker, Joint Secretary, Ms. Bhakti Shah, Joint Secretary, Ms. Hinal, Shri Priyank, Shri Zeel and the efforts of rest of the team members of Gujarat chapter as well as the central team of IYA, not to forget the unwavering cooperation from Shri Ravi Tumuluri and Smt Shruti Prabhakar. The program was anchored and lead beautifully by Shri Rajeev Kumar Mishra, Secretary GJSCC.
