24th Meeting of Executive Council of IYA Held 

The 24th Meeting of the Executive Council of Indian Yoga Association was held online on November 6th, 2021 at 1 pm. Meeting saw the presence of Dr HR Nagendra, President, Smt Hansa Yogendra Jayadeva, Member, Governing Council, Dr SP Mishra, Vice President, Smt. Kamlesh Barwal, General Secretary, Shri Ravi Tumuluri, Joint Secretary, Shri Ram Kumar Rathi, Director, Standing Finance Committee, Swami Atmapriyananda, Director, Standing Academics and Accreditation Committee, Dr R Nagarathna, Director, Standing Research Committee, Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Director, Standing Publications, Publicity and PR Committee, Sadhvi Bhagavati Saraswati, Honorary Director, Standing Publications, Publicity and PR Committee and Shri PC Kapoor, Treasurer. Meeting also saw the presence of Smt Sunanda Rathi, Convener, Standing Finance Committee and Sushree Shivali Miglani, Secretariat, IYA.

After an opening note was given by the President, IYA, Guruji Dr HR Nagendra, Smt Kamlesh Barwal tabled the agenda for the meeting. To start with, the minutes of the 23rd meeting of Executive Council of IYA held on April 12, 2021 were ratified. Thereafter, the action taken report for the 23rd EC meeting was as well discussed.

It detailed discussion on the International Conference to be organised by IYA in 2022 at Delhi with representations from all state chapters was held. It would be held in hybrid mode. A National Committee would be formed to finalise the details for the Conference.
Thereafter, Dr. S.P. Mishra requested member institutions to utilise services of Personnel Certification Board, IYA to conduct Yoga Certification Board Exams. Yoga Certification Board has requested PrCB to conduct Quality Certification program in different countries for which if we can get contact addresses of offices in different countries, connected to our eminent institutions and conduct certifications in hybrid mode. Dr Mishra requested EC to motivate the State Chapters of IYA to help PrCB. YCB does 5 types of certifications for which PrCB is getting prepared and help of the IYA institutions is needed for the same.

Dr HR Nagendra thanked Dr Mishra for the efforts made by him in this direction and appealed all members to support PrCB.

The concept note of Yoga was also talked about. It was decided to organise a specific Executive Council Meeting for the same. The meeting ended with Shanti Mantra.
