The official release of the first issue of the Journal of Applied Yoga Studies (JAYS) was commemorated on 11th of December 2024 at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV) University, Pondicherry, Associate Centre of Indian Yoga Association. In the presence of eminent personalities, JAYS was released by the Honourable Vice Chancellor of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Prof. Nihar Ranjan Biswas.
The journal is the fruit of an international collaboration between the Loyola Marymount University (USA), the Institute of Salutogenesis and Complementary Medicine, SBV and Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute, Lonavala. Thanks to the efforts of Yogathilakam Prof. Meena Ramanathan (Vice Principal, School of Yoga Therapy, ISCM) alongside Prof. Lori Ruebenstein Fazzio and Dr. Praseeda Menon for making this historic endeavour possible as the Founding Editors.
The event was led by the Director of ISCM, Yogacharya Prof. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani in the presence of the Vice Chancellor Prof. N. R Biswas and other senior and eminent personalities including Prof. N Ananthakrishnan, Prof. A R Srinivasan, Prof. Sathyanarayana Reddy, Prod. Ashok Kumar Das, and Prof. Ravishankar. Both national and international collaborators and well-wishers of ISCM were present online for the auspicious event.
