Sweet Potato Chaat is a scrumptious recipe that is filled with traditional chaat flavours and is healthy too. Sweet Potato rich in fiber and is good source of Vitamin A, C, B6, potassium, copper and manganese. It promotes gut health and enhances brain function. Sesame seed is a good source of calcium that promotes bone health. It also has magnesium, Vitamin E and other antioxidants that help maintain blood pressure.
- Ingredients
- Sweet Potato 100 gms
- Pomegranate 25 gms
- Mint Leaves 25 gms
- Mung Sprouts 15 gms
- Sesame seeds 15 gms
- Coriander 1 tsp
- Salt 1/4 tsp
- Amchur Powder 2 tsp
- Cumin Powder 1 tsp
Method
- Wash the sweet potato and boil it.
- In a bowl add sweet potato, pomegranate, mint leaves, mung sprout, salt, amchur powder, cumin powder and mix it well
- Add coriander and sesame seeds and serve.
Healthy Cooking Tips
Instead of mung sprouts, any other sprout like chana sprout or matki sprout can also be used.
Sweet potato can also be used as thickener.
Don’t roast sweet potato as it increases the dietary AGE (advance glycation end products). Steam and cook instead.
It can be consumed as post-workout meal as it is high in carbohydrates and high fiber.
