The 36th meeting of the Executive Council of Indian Yoga Association was held online on July 3, 2023, between 5.30 pm and 6.00 pm.
The meeting was attended by Maa Dr Hansaji Yogendra, President, Shri S Sridharan, Vice President, Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, Brahmacharini Shobha, Joint Secretary, Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Joint Secretary, Smt Padmini Rathore, Working Director, Standing Publications, Publicity and PR Committee, Shri KC Jain, Treasurer, Shri PC Kapoor, Director, Standing Finance Committee and Dr Ganesh Rao, Director, Academics & Accreditation Committee.
The meeting started with the prayer and Shri Subodh Tiwari welcomed and greeted all on the gracious occasion of Guru Poornima and handed over the floor to Honourable President to open the meeting. After, the minutes of meeting of the 35th Executive Council Meeting were approved, discussions were held about establishment of IYA’s international cell, strengthening the finances, International Yoga Summit 2023 to be held in November, reform the new Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) according to ICMR standard by Standard Research Committee, State Chapter Committees and Associate Centre membership fee share for IYA and others.
Further, it was also agreed upon by all the members to participate in the UPBTVP Braj event as an IYA associated event by providing yoga session and participate in organising the event.
Thereafter, Dr Ananda discussed the schedule of the International Yoga Summit in detail and it was decided that the Summit will be held in Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Shanti Kunj, Haridwar. Dr Ganesh Rao updated the progress of the work in the subcommittees of SAAC committee.
