Kerala SCC meeting convened

The Kerala State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association met on Zoom on May 13, 2022 at 7 pm. The meeting was attended by Shri Nataraj, Vice Chairman, Shri Thippe Swami, Vice Chairman, Shri Rajgopal Krishnan, General Secretary, Shri Sudhakar, Treasurer, Shri Vasudevan Namboothiri, Joint Secretary, Shri Shyju Krishnan B P, Joint Secretary, Shri Harilal ji, Executive Member from the Kerala SCC. Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, IYA was also present. From Delhi office Shri Ravi Tumuluri and Smt Bhavna Puri marked their presence.

The meeting started with a prayer by Shri Rajgopal. The newly nominated Secretary General for IYA, Shri Subodh Tiwari addressed Kerala State Chapter committee members for the first time. He explained different methods of extending the state chapter activities.

He pointed out the need to work in line with State Governing bodies and to utilize the funds meant for promotion of Yoga and Wellness. He also informed all that as per Ministry of AYUSH, this IDY 2022 is to be celebrated over a period of one month till June 21. He further stressed that we need to as well promote Azadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav and different activities are to be held which should be concluded with a final event.

He suggested that State Governor could be invited for the Symposium to be conducted in connection with Annual day celebrations of State Chapter. He also envisaged the vision to increase the presence of IYA all over the State.

He stressed the need for creating more number of certified Yoga volunteers and the fact that Associated Centres should promote courses from IYA and also from YCB.

Shri Ravi Tumuluri explained his views on carrying out the activities ahead. He shared his wishes and blessings for the upcoming events.

Shri Rajgopal briefly described about the chapter formation and the activities done so far by the state chapter. He also shared his ideas for IDY 2022 celebrations. Shri Vasudevan Namboothiri highlighted how inviting State Governor for annual day celebration will help in publicity and boosting the functioning of the state chapter.

Shri Sudhakarji, Shri Harilal, Shri Thippieswami extended their support for the upcoming activities. Shri Shyju Krishnan gave a presentation showing some suggestions for programs to be conducted on IDY 2022. The meeting concluded with a prayer at 8.00 pm.

WBSCC meets online

The West Bengal State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association was held online on April 4, 2022 at 11.00 am. Meeting marked the presence of Swami Kirtipradananda, Chairman, Shri Abhijit Ghosh, Secretary, Shri Sisir Biswas, Joint Secretary, Shri Subhendu Acharya, Joint Secretary and Shri Shambhu Raj from West Bengal State Chapter. It was also attended by Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, IYA and Shri Ravi Tumuluri, Shri Neeraj Kumar and Smt. Bhavna Puri from IYA Secretariat Team.

Meeting started with the prayer by Swami Kirtipradananda. He then talked about the need to strengthen IYA by setting up district level committees. He also pointed out that they should be kept in loop while finalizing the Associate Centres from the states.

Shri Subodh Tiwari assured that SCCs will have the freedom to work in the state. He further said that before confirmation state chapter must talk to the ACs and finalize the matter then only from Delhi they will get membership.

Discussions were held on strengthening the intake of memberships, executing the Central Government scheme with SCC, how can certified yoga programs can run in West Bengal SCC.

It was also decided on the meeting that the SG will send the letter to KVS to include IYA course for the job opportunities. Shri Subhendu Acharyay expressed his desire for IYA to start the Diploma courses in Yoga for better job opportunities. Shri Sisir Biswas suggested to transfer more benefits to members like some extra trainings or programs.

The SG informed that we are creating a central portal for YPMs and we are collaborating up with industries and hotel for better job opportunities. He also asked the members to organise a 3 hours program on ‘100 days to IDY’. He requested active participation from the members of the state chapter to speed up the membership drive. Meeting concluded with the shanti mantra.

Jharkhand SCC virtual meeting held

Jharkhand State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association held its monthly meeting on April 3, 2022 online at 7pm. From the state chapter, it was attended by Shri Amit Kumar, Shri KD Tiwari, Smt. Parinita Singh, Shri Ravi Newar, Shri Pritam Banik, Sri Ram Jiwan Pandey, Shri Ravi Prakash, Shri Manoj Kumar Rai, Shri Anuj Kumar, Shri Pradip Kumar Barnwal and Shri Rakesh Parashar. Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, IYA and Shri Ravi Tumuluri, Shri Neeraj Kumar and Smt. Bhavna Puri from IYA Secretariat Team also marked their presence.

Meeting commenced with the members welcoming the new SG. Thereafter, SG emphasised on increasing individual and Institutional membership. Discussion about fetching projects from Ministry of AYUSH where Jharkhand IYA SCC can exclusively contribute were held.

Members were apprised about the 100 days Countdown program for IDY 2022 being organized by Ministry of AYUSH. The SCC was asked to organize a 3 Hours event for IDY so that it can be adequately publicised. Meeting ended with the shanti mantra.

Madhya Pradesh SCC welcomes new SG

Madhya Pradesh State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association held an online meeting on April 19, 2022 at 10:30 am to welcome the new Secretary General of IYA, Shri Subodh Tiwari.

It was attended by Smt Pushpanjali Sharma, Shri Gajendra Singh, Smt. R.H Lata, Shri Sandeep Dixit, Shri Ved Prakash, Shri Yashwant Bhatti, Shri Ajay Dubey, Shri Subodh Tiwari, Shri Ravi Tumuluri and Smt Bhavna Puri.

The meeting commenced with welcoming Shri Subodh Tiwari. He told the members that they all need to increase the reach as a team. He also asked the members to organize IDY-2022 event. Smt Pushpanjali suggested to create district level committees. Shri Ved Prakash put forward the suggestion to conduct the IDY event at Sanchi Satupa, Madhya Pradesh.

Gujarat SCC discusses IDY 2022

Gujarat State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association held a virtual meeting on April 9, 2022 at 2:30 pm to talk about IDY 2022. It saw the presence of Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, IYA, Shri Acharya Birju Maharaj, Shri Kamlesh Udasi, Ms.Bhakti Shah, Ms.Mauli Bavisker, Shri Shaileshji Rathod, Shri Grijesh Sharma, Shri Nilay Mehta, Shri Priyank Panchal, Shri Vikram Mistry, Ms. Zeel Patel, Shri Rajeev Kumar Mishra, Shri Ravi Tumuluri and Shri Neeraj Kumar.

The other points that were discussed included courses offered by IYA, accreditation of IYA courses, Central Portal in the making to increase strength, yoga volunteers and standardization, need to highlight IYA in Gujarat, arranging a meeting with the Chief Minister or Governor with a proposal, roping in partners for the events, taking benefits of central schemes, organising event in next 6 months among many.

Pondicherry SCC meets on Zoom

Pondicherry State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association met online on April 5, 2022 at 11 am. The meeting saw the presence of Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, IYA, Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Joint Secretary, IYA, Shri Sampananda Mishara, Shri Dayanidy, Shri Auro Ashish, Smt. Visbha Shah, Shri Jai Kumar, Smt Ranjana, Shri Pachegaonkar and, Shri Ravi Tumuluri, Shri Neeraj Kumar and Smt.Bhavna Puri from IYA Secretariat.

Meeting started with Shanti mantra. Dr. Ananda congratulated Shri Subodh Tiwari for becoming the new SG of IYA. His wishes were equally reciprocated by the new SG on Dr Ananda being appointed as the Joint Secretary, IYA.

Discussions were held on enhancing the membership drive. Ideas for organising activities on IDY 2022 were put forward on the table.

Dr. Ananda shared that Shri Sampananda Mishra is being by Shri Pachegaonkar as the Secretary of the state chapter. He also suggested that we should start Yoga Therapy course and also suggested membership module like motivating all visitors to take YVMs later upgrade YPMs and then to LM.

Shri Subodh Tiwari asked Pondicherry to organize 100 days IDY program showing all iconic faces and places of Pondicherry and arrange a three hour webinar and share the date and time with IYA secretariat team.

UPSCC meets to discuss future activities

Uttar Pradesh State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association met online on April 15, 2022 under the chairmanship of Shri Subodh Tiwari, Secretary General, IYA.

The points discussed in the meeting included fixing the responsibilities of all the members in the state chapter, promotion of association to be done on all the platforms possible, events and programs to be regularly organised to aware people about the association, top leadership should be requested to take the meeting on regular basis, to enhance participation from youngsters in the state chapter committee more events to be organised in colleges and universities, collaboration with other organisation to enhance association’s presence, increasing the presence on social media platforms so as to reach to the common man and others.

Shri Subodh Tiwari requested the state chapter to organise an event on the occasion of IDY 2022. Shri Ravi Tumuluri appreciated the efforts made by the UPSCC and extended his wishes. The meeting was organised by Shri Piyush Kant Mishra.
