Gujarat SCC meets on Zoom 

In the wake of the current scenario and the lockdown an online meeting of Gujarat State Chapter Committee of IYA was held on April 15, 2020. It was attended by Shri Acharya Birju Maharaj ji, Chairman, Shri Kamlesh Udasi ji, Vice Chairman, Smt. Meetal Koticha ji, Vice Chairman, Smt. Bhakti Shah ji, Secretary, Shri Harish Shukla ji, Treasurer, Smt. Mauli Baviskar, Joint Secretary, Shri Girijesh Sharma ji, Member and Smt. Niyati Gundigara ji, Member, Shri Rajeev Mishra ji and Smt. Swati Mahuvakar ji.

In the meeting it was decided that 4 Zonal Sub Committees will be created one each for East, West, North and South zone. The Chairman put forward the idea of creating training modules. Further, it was decided that the Gujarat chapter would carry out Research on effects of Yoga practices in Thyroid. Creating awareness videos on COVID-19 videos will help the masses to cope with pandemic and motivate people towards adopting Yoga in their daily life was also discussed.

The meeting also saw suggestions about continuing online membership drive even during the lockdown by the Gujarat State Chapter.
