On the auspicious occasion of World Environment Day on June 5, 2020, Assam State Chapter can together for a meeting. It was attended by the members of the State Chapter namely Dr Bali Narayan Phukan, Vice Chairperson, Shri Om Prakash Bagaria ji, Member, Sri Sumant Chandawadkar, Treasurer, Shri Subhabrata Mukherji, Joint Secretary, Nandini Sethi, IYA Secretariat, Dr Ujjwal Maske, Joint Secretary, Shri Hiren Sarkar ji and Shri Ravi Tumuluri ji, Regional Coordinator, South Region, Joint Secretary, IYA.
The points highlighted in the meeting included starting regular yoga classes on social media platforms so as to improve online presence, increasing memberships and a webinar that was to jointly organise with Srimanata Shankar Mahavidalaya. The day also saw Shri Om Prakash ji and Ujjawal ji planting trees.
