Bananas Appam is a delectable South Indian recipe with goodness of banana. Banana is avery good source of potassium. It reduces exercise related muscle cramps. Black sesame seeds are a good source of calcium of protein, manganese, iron, copper and phosphorus. Cow’s ghee helps improve digestion and reduces bowel problems.
Ingredients
• Rice Flour 1/3 cups
• Small Banana (mashed) 2
• Black Sesame Seeds 1 tsp
• Cardamom powder 1 tsp
• Ginger Powder 1 tsp
• Cumin Powder 1 tsp
• Chopped Jaggery ¼ cup
• Water ¾ cup
• Ghee 2 tsp
Method of Preparation
Take water in a vessel, add jiggery, and heat on medium flame till it turn into a thick syrup. Mash bananas in vessel, add cardamom powder, ginger powder, and cumin powder and mix well. Add rice flour to the jaggery syrup. Also add sesame and mix well until it becomes smooth batter. Now, add the banana mixture into the batter and mix well. Take an appam pan and apply some ghee with the brush. Pour the batter into each mould till ¾ level and cook again till it becomes golden brown. Serve hot!!
