State Chapter Committee Meet 

IYA constitutes Bihar SCC

The formation meeting of Bihar State Chapter Committee was held on September 11, 2020 online. The meeting was chaired by Shri Dr. Jaideep Arya ji, Joint Secretary, IYA and Regional Coordinator, North Region, IYA. After a brief introduction about IYA, its mission and vision discussions were held about the roping in members for the newly formed State Chapter.

The others who marked their presence meeting were Smt Ekta Boulderique, Working Director, SPPPRC, IYA, Sri Sudhir Kumar Ambastha, VRMVK, Kanyakumari, Jeetendra Pandey, AOL Foundation, Bengaluru, Shri Ajit and Shri Anil Kumar from Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar, Shri Rahul and Shri Gudakesh Vatsa from Dev Sanskriti Vishwa Vidyalaya, Smt Kavita Jain, SRCM, Chennai, and Smt Thrushal Sunman, Smt Bhavna Puri and Shri Bhupendra Kumar from IYA Secretariat.

IYA adds Chhattisgarh to its list

IYA held an online formation meeting of Chhattisgarh State Chapter Committee on September 11, 2020. The meeting was chaired by Shri Dr. Jaideep Arya ji, Joint Secretary, IYA and Regional Coordinator, North Region, IYA. He gave an overview of the Association, its formation, development and future plans. He outlines an elaborate vision about the potential and possibilities of the Chhattisgarh State Chapter.
Discussions were also held so as to increase the memberships of the Chapter.

The Goa State Chapter Committee formation meeting was held on September 14, 2020 online. Shri Dr. Jaideep Arya ji, Joint Secretary, IYA and Regional Coordinator, North Region, IYA chaired the meeting. WB SCC meets Online

West Bengal State Chapter Committee meeting was held on September 28, 2020 at 8 PM on Zoom.
The meeting was attended by the committee members namely Shri Chandrakant Rathore, Vice Chairperson, Dr Abhijit Ghosh, Secretary, Shri Subhendu Acharya, Joint Secretary, Shri Sisir Biswas, Joint Secretary, Sri Joyhari Jana, Treasurer, Smt.Priti Nandi, Member, Shri Sridip Chatterjee and Shri Shambhu Raj Pandit.
The meeting saw discussions being held on formation of District Committees in each district of West Bengal. The promotion of IYA to speed up professional and institutional membership drive in News Paper and Social Media was also put forward on the table.

Further it was decided that Research Team will work to create protocol and project on COVID Patient. Yogasana Competition to be held on district level and promotion of IYA West Bengal Associate Centre and their courses were also discussed.

Karnataka SCC meets Virtually

Karnataka SCC meeting was held on September 3, 2020 via Zoom. It was attended by Shri Vishal Ganeriwal, Joint Secretary, Shri Madhava Madnpalli, Treasurer, Shri Phanedhar Kumar, Member and other members of the Karnataka state chapter. Shri Ravi Tumuluri, Joint Secretary, IYA also marked his presence.
Shri Vishal Ganeriwal presided over the meeting in absence of Shri Bhawarlalji, Secretary, KA SCC. The topics that were discussed during the meeting included memberships and institutions in the state to organise their events with co-branding IYA.

Further Shri Ravi Tumuluri informed everybody that many IYA courses would get joint accreditation with Ministry of Ayush and Skill Training Council of India, which would help in further acceptance of IYA programs and courses.

Kerala SCC meets Online

Kerala State Chapter Committee met on September 6, 2020 via Zoom. The meeting started with a welcome note by Dr S Lakshmi Kumari, Chairperson of Kerala SCC.

Thereafter, meeting discussed the ways to speed up the membership drive. The success of IDY webinar was applauded and everybody put forward their views on organising more webinars.
Shri Ravi Tumuluri, Joint Secretary, IYA during the meeting stressed upon organising more activities to promote yoga across the state. He further explained in detail everybody about the Yoga Therapy Assistant Program.

The meeting saw presence of Sri Nataraj, Vice Chairperson, Shri Shyju Krishnan B P, Joint Secretary, Shri Sudhakar T, Treasurer, Shri Narayanan Akambillil, Shri Harilal Karanath, Shri K Vasudevan Namboodiri and Shri Vivek from the Kerala State Chapter. From IYA Secretariat Smt. Thrushal Sunman, Smt. Shruti Prabhakar and Smt. Bhavna also marked their presence.

Jharkhand SC organises their First Meeting

The first meeting of the Jharkhand State Chapter of IYA was held on September 19, 2020 through video conferencing at 4.00 PM.

Swami Bhavesha Nand who was the special invitee chaired the meeting. The members of the state chapter who marked their presence were Shri Ramjeevan Pandey, Vice Chairperson, Smt. Parinita Singh, Vice Chairperson, Shri Amit Kumar, Secretary, Shri Navin Chourasia, Joint- Secretary, Prof. Rakesh Parashar, Joint- Secretary, Shri Pritam Banik, Joint- Secretary, Shri Manoj Kumar Rai, Treasurer, Shri Balram Kumar, Member, Dr. Anuj Kumar, Member, Shri Ravi Prakash, Member, Smt. Archana Kumari, Member, Shri Anurag Kumar and Smt. Ratna Chatterjee, Member.

Shri Ravi Tumuluri, Joint Secretary of IYA briefed about the various membership programs. During the meeting it was decided that Shri Amit Kumar will take care of promotion and enrollment activities with the help of other members and volunteers.

A team headed by Pro. Rakesh Parashar was also constituted to plan for different IYA Events & Activities. It was resolved that the affiliated courses under Jharkhand State Chapter shall be guided by Smt. Parinita Singh. She will also take care of the Research work along with Smt. Archana Kumari. It was further decided that Shri Ravi Prakash and Shri Anurag Kumar will handle the social media account of the State Chapter.
From IYA Secretariat Smt. Thrushal Sunman, Smt. Shruti Prabhakar and Smt. Bhavna also marked their presence.

Rajasthan SCC meets Online to Discuss its Activities

The first meeting of Rajasthan State Chapter was held on September 20, 2020 online from 4pm to 5:30 pm. The meeting was chaired by Shri Vinod Pareek, Chairperson. It commenced with a prayer. Thereafter a presentation on the State Chapter Manual by Dr. Swatantra Kumar Sharma, Secretary and a brief discussion was held.

It was decided in the meeting that all the members will meet on the last Sunday of every month to review the work done. Thereafter, discussions were held on increasing the members of the State Chapter and promotion of yoga.

It was suggested that a webinar should organised to discuss the research in yoga in these times of COVID-19 and how can it be helpful for the common man.

A monthly meet was then held on September 27, 2020. Everybody applauded the success of the webinar held on September 26, 2020. A detailed discussion on the activities of the State Chapter for the next six months and the ways to promote them took place. Therafter, a suggestion was put forth that the State Chapter should organise programs for children as well.
