Global Institute of Yogic Health & Education (GIYHE) Jodhpur in collabration with IYA and VYASA organized a 5 day online yoga workshop on Respiratory Health and Immunity from August 10-14, 2020.
The workshop focused on promoting a healthy respiratory system and strong immunity. The workshop was led by Ms. Priyanka Singhvi, President of the Institute and an alumnus of The Yoga Institute Santacruz, Kaivalyadhama & SVYASA Bengaluru.
Participants were introduced to research based, simple, kriyas, asanas, pranayamas and other classical yogic techniques to enhance lung capacity and improve breathing.
The workshop was based on the four pillars of yoga, aahar, vihar, aachaar and vichar. Special sessions with focus on relief in respiratory problems like asthma, bronchitis, rhinitis etc were conducted. At the end of the workshop, participants were equipped with a healthy lifestyle to strengthen the respiratory system and manage and cure respiratory ailments.
Relaxation techniques were introduced to improve immunity by focusing on quieting the body and the mind to bring mental and emotional balance.
The workshop was attended by 30 participants and the Institute has planned a follow up program to gauge the degree of improvement in condition of participants over a period of next few months with regular practice of yoga techniques and lifestyle as taught in the workshop.
