New members join Chandigarh SCC 

In the recent development Chandigarh State Chapter of Indian Yoga Association welcomed several distinguished individuals into the IYA family in the month of April including Shri Rohit Ghawri, President of Yog Dhara Welfare Association, Behan Sarabjit Saini ji, President of Human Rights Munch (Cell), Chandigarh, Shri MN Pandey, Army Veteran and District President of Bharat Swabhiman Trust, Chd. East, Behan Savita Kansal, MPYS, Chandigarh South.

The State Chapter organized two significant events. Firstly, a 5 Days Yoga Camp was conducted at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula (April 3-7, 2024) with a focus on Madhumay Nivaran. This event, led by Shri Ajit Handa, was inaugurated by Smt Shushma Singla, Social Activist. The camp benefitted 40 Yog Sadhaks and emphasized diabetes prevention through the distribution of informational materials.

Secondly, a 6 Days Yoga Camp took place at Sector 43-A, Chandigarh (April 23-28, 2024) to commemorate the 54-day Countdown to the 10th Edition of International Day of Yoga’2024. The camp included traditional ceremonies such as lamp lighting and chanting of Aum and Gayatri mantra. It concluded with a ceremonial Valedictory featuring Havan Yaja and the launch of a new Yog Class.


The State Chapter will be organising series of events in May 2024. In the first week, Yog Shivir will be held at Sector 47, Chandigarh in the second week Soham Jaap will be organised at Sector 42, Chandigarh and in the third week Yoga & Meditation will be conducted at Sector 45, Chandigarh.
