Indian Yoga Association (IYA), Puducherry Chapter organized and conducted an interactive and lively Workshop on “ Healthy LifeStyle” on November 19, 2022 in association with Sri Aurobindo Society. More than 100 persons participated in the event with eminent and qualified resource persons. The registration formalities were taken care of by Sri Shanmugam, the Treasurer of IYA Puducherry Chapter, Smt Lalitha Shanmugam and Smt Vidyasri. After registering, participants were welcomed with healthy sprouts and Hibiscus Tea.
The program started on a divine note with an invocation and a well appreciated and most enjoyable talk by Yogacharya Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, the Vice Chairman of the IYA Puducherry Chapter on “The best lifestyle for health and wellness”. Dr. Uttareshwar Pachegaonkar, the Senior Vice Chairman gave an educative presentation on “Universal Concept of Life and adding meaning/purpose to life & living”; followed by an interactive and much appreciated presentation on the “Importance of Dinacharya” by Yogathilakam Dr Meena Ramanathan, the Joint Secretary.
After a short tea break an Open House discussion was conducted on concept of “Disease and therapeutic modalities followed in traditional systems (AYUSH)” with eminent personalities such as Prof Madanmohan, the Chairman of the IYA Puducherry Chapter, Yogacharini Devasena Bhavanani, Senior Faculty of ICYER -Ananda Ashram, Dr. Uttareshwar Pachegaonkar, Sri Dayanidy G, Dr R Balaji (incharge of the Sub-committee of Academics–Accreditation and Research respectively), Sri Artchoudane S of CYS-AVMC, Sri Sekar of Aurobindo Society had a very scintillating and eye-opening discussion/interaction with the participants who asked questions which were answered well by the panelists. Dr Parin Somani of the UK, the invited guest was also a part of this discussion. She touched the hearts of all with her inspirational message of self-transformation through Ayurveda in Cancer. Last but not the least was the excellent “Practice Session focusing on health and wellness” by Dr Selvanathan, the Secretary of the Puducherry Chapter. All the registered participants actively and enthusiastically participated in the event and enjoyed it thoroughly.
