Chiranjiv Foundation in collaboration with Indian Yoga Association organised a workshop on Introduction to Holistic Stress Management through Yoga and its benefits for teachers in stress management through Yoga where Dr Sunanda Rathi was the speaker. The workshop was held for the academic staff of Junior College at Abasaheb Garware College.
The workshop kicked off with an introductory welcome remark by the organization representative, setting a positive and inviting atmosphere for all attendees. Following this, the official inauguration of the workshop took place. A ceremonial Dhoop Prajwalan marked the beginning of the event, symbolizing the lighting of the lamp of knowledge.
The workshop sessions encompass various components aimed at holistic stress management. Participants were guided through yoga practices that extend beyond traditional mats, focusing on energy exercises, loosening techniques, breathing exercises, and neck exercises. Dr. Sunanda S Rathi provided an overview of Stress Management and Effective Techniques) through a presentation on a Smart TV/LCD, elucidating the theory and importance of stress management techniques
She further talked about various yoga techniques, including breathing exercises, gentle yoga postures, relaxation practices, and mindfulness meditation.
These practices are based on scientific research, specifically designed to address the unique challenges faced by teachers and support you in managing stress effectively. You have to follow the sequence which is very important, for all movements and postures are gentle and slow with awareness and synchronisation with breath.
