The focus on Iconic venues led to showcase the rich tourism possibilities of the cultural heritage which we have inherited. The effort by the Ministry of AYUSH and Ministry of Culture were commendable. We congratulated them on this success.

The IYA family came together in a big way and organized programs all across the country . With its 26 state chapters, 42 member institutes and many associate center, we could reach far and wide.

We at the IYA office are now making all the efforts to ensure that all our member institution and the associate centres also start to accredited themselves to offer the IYA Certification. We have three levels already finalized and we are hoping to get the Yoga Therapy program also ready. This will pave way for better and minimum uniform standards amongst the Yoga community across. It is necessary that we all work together on this .

We are proud that our Chairman of the Governing Council Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji was bestowed with the highest civilian award by Suriname. It a moment of celebration where spiritual masters are recognized for their contribution towards promoting peace and world harmony.

Our Member Institute Divine Life Society was awarded the Prime Ministers Yoga Award for their great contribution towards the field of Yoga. We salute the great work initiated by Swami Sivanand ji and which has been carried forwarded by his disciplines.

Bhikkhu Sanghasena from Ladakh and Prof. Marcos Rojo an alumnus of Kaivlayadhama a founding member of IYA , were awareded in the individual capacity. We congratulate them on this recognition.

We will see a agreement of cooperation signed with Health Sector Skill Coucil , Indira Gandhi National Open Univeristy , National Institution of Open Schooling and Indira Gandhi Centre of Arts. All these will open up multiple opportunities for the member institutions. We look forward to greater participation and invovement of all .

Finally , I reitarate , that , it is important that we have more members as part of the IYA and take the message of Yoga in its puritine form, ahead. Lets work together on this.
