The Uttar Pradesh State Chapter Committee of the Indian Yoga Association (IYA UPSCC) celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 through an online programme on 8 March 2026, based on the theme “Give to Gain.” The event brought together yoga practitioners, teachers, and enthusiasts from across Uttar Pradesh to reflect on women’s empowerment through the transformative power of yoga.
The programme was chaired by Shri Piyush Kant Misra, Chairman, IYA UPSCC, in the presence of Shri Hari Dutt Mishra, Vice President, and Shri Amit Garg, Secretary, IYA UPSCC.
The Chief Guest, Acharya Pratishtha Ji, internationally renowned yoga teacher and cultural ambassador, highlighted the role of yoga in empowering women by strengthening their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Distinguished speakers included Dr. Parul Gupta, who shared insights on women’s neurological health and the benefits of yoga and meditation in stress management; Ms. Natasha Sharma, who conducted a breath-awareness session; Dr. Archana Dubey, who spoke on creating a balanced society through mutual support and yogic living; and Yogacharya Monika Sharma, who inspired participants through her presentation, “From Passion to Profession,” highlighting opportunities in the yoga profession.
The programme also featured a cultural segment with inspirational poetry presented by Dr. Bhavana Misra and Smt. Kiran Singh, celebrating womanhood and motherhood.
The session was skillfully moderated by Yogacharya Deepti Jain, Founder of Yoglogue and Publicity Convenor, IYA UPSCC, who shared valuable insights on Garbhasanskar, conscious parenting, and the role of yoga in nurturing future generations.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all speakers and participants, reaffirming IYA’s commitment to promoting respect, empowerment, and holistic well-being for women through yoga.
