The Bihar State Chapter Committee of the Indian Yoga Association (IYA) convened an online Executive Committee meeting via Zoom on 1 May 2026. The meeting was attended by the Executive Committee members and focused on strengthening the chapter’s activities, expanding outreach, and planning future initiatives.
A key agenda of the meeting was the promotion of the IYA membership drive across the state. Members discussed strategies to increase awareness about the Indian Yoga Association and encourage greater participation from yoga professionals, institutions, and practitioners in Bihar.
The Committee also resolved to motivate and support Executive Committee members to participate in the upcoming National Conclave at Lonavala, recognizing it as an important platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and strengthening the IYA movement nationwide.
As part of its digital outreach efforts, the Committee announced the launch of its official social media presence through Facebook and Instagram. Members were encouraged to actively share and promote these platforms through their networks and WhatsApp groups to enhance public engagement. The official Facebook page of the Bihar State Chapter was launched under the handle @IYABiharStateChapter.
To strengthen administrative processes and official communication, it was decided that a dedicated Bihar State Chapter letterhead would be developed and used for all future correspondence and organizational activities.
The Committee also discussed preparations for the upcoming International Day of Yoga 2026, with a focus on organizing impactful programmes across the state and expanding the reach and visibility of the Bihar State Chapter.
