The Tamil Nadu State Chapter Committee meeting was held in World Community Service Centre, Chennai on December 28, 2024, at 10:30am. The meeting commenced with a prayer and meditation session, creating a serene atmosphere for the discussions that followed. Shri Rajeshwari Prabhakaran, Senior Vice-Chairman of TNSCC, delivered the welcome address, setting the stage for the proceedings. The Presidential Address was given by Padma Shri SKM Maeilanandhan, Chairman of TNSCC, who highlighted the association’s ongoing achievements and future goals.
The minutes of the previous meeting held on February 28, 2023 were reviewed and unanimously approved. Dr. R. Elangovan, Secretary of TNSCC, then presented the action taken report and the Annual Report for 2024-2025, detailing the various activities and milestones achieved during the year.
Following this, Dr. A.M. Moorthy, Advisor to TNSCC, felicitated the members and shared his positive outlook on the chapter’s progress. The discussion then moved to the upcoming IYA Yoga Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, Allahabad, scheduled from 7th to 16th February 2025. Members were encouraged to participate, with IYA making elaborate arrangements for the event.
A key highlight was the proposal to organize a National Level Conclave by TNSCC, as requested by IYA. The committee unanimously decided to hold this event on 1st and 2nd February 2025 at Vethathiri Maharishi College of Yoga, Chennai. Under the leadership of Padma Shri SKM Maeilanandhan, the members discussed strategies to ensure the conclave’s success.
The meeting concluded with final remarks from Padma Shri SKM Maeilanandhan, emphasizing the importance of collective effort. Fharzana Siraj, Joint Secretary, proposed the vote of thanks, appreciating the Chairman’s efforts in hosting the meeting and providing lunch. The session ended with a closing prayer, leaving members with a shared sense of purpose and commitment.
The meeting witnessed the participation of several key members of the Executive Committee of TNSCC. Notable attendees included Padma Shri SKM Maeilanandhan, Chairman, and Dr. A.M. Moorthy, Advisor, who both played pivotal roles in guiding the discussions. Rajeshwari Prabhakaran, Senior Vice-Chairman, extended a warm welcome, while Dr. R. Other attendees included Shri K. Santhanayaki from the Universal Peace Foundation, Shri Swaminathan from KYM as a special invitee, and sub-committee chairpersons Shri R. Balan, Dr. S. Sekhar, Dr. S. Jayaprakash, Shri S. Ezhilarasi, Shri A. F. Lara Abiesheikh, Ms T. Valli, Shri P. Jeyasundaram, and Shri R. Ramachandran. Their collective insights and discussions were integral to the meeting’s success, culminating in a shared commitment to the chapter’s future endeavors.
