The Maharashtra State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association had an online meeting through Zoom application on May 20, 2023 under the Chairmanship of Dr. Vishwasrao Mandlik. Meeting was attended by Dr. Satish Pathak, Shri Durgadas Sawant, Shri Shailesh Parikh, Shrikrishna Mhaskar and Ms. Neha Kerure.
Meeting started with Om chanting. In the meeting, Yoga Conclave details were briefed by Dr. Satish Pathak. For increasing membership, it was decided to enrol students attending various courses conducted by respective Institution. With respect to celebrating International Day of Yoga (IDY), the Chairman advised all institutions to associate name of IYA for all events organized by member Institutions.
Lack of presence of the member institutions in the monthly webinars conducted by Maharashtra Chapter was discussed. It was agreed that in the ensuing webinar welcome brief will be done by Shailesh Parikh, introduction of the speaker will be done by Shrikrishna Mhaskar and vote of thanks will be done by Dr. Pathak. Inactive member Institutions agreed to take initiative towards arranging speakers and topics from next month. The language of address in the webinars was agreed to be primarily Marathi and Hindi. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks to Chairman, shantipath and omkar chanting.
