NIRAMAYA, an Associate Center of the Indian Yoga Association IYA, successfully conducted more than 30 yoga programs throughout April 2025 as part of the ongoing Yoga Chetana Mahotsav under the 11th International Day of Yoga celebrations. These programs were organized in partnership with leading institutions including Assam University (a Central University), the NSS, and the Indian Knowledge System (IKS).

The initiative focused on promoting yoga and wellness among students, faculty, and the larger community. Sessions were led by experienced yoga experts such as Divya Geetanand, Shatakshi Bhattacharjee (Zonal Coordinator, IYA), Subhankar Saha, and Ratul Chakraborty. Dignitaries such as IKS Director Dr M. Gangabhushan, Advisor to NIRAMAYA Benulal Barman, Chairman Dr Ajit Kumar Bhattacharjee, and Dr Tuhin Deshamukhya graced various events. Additionally, NIRAMAYA representatives met with Shri Mridul Kumar Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, to discuss collaborative opportunities and promote the IYA yoga movement.
The Yoga Chetana Mahotsav, which began on March 8 and continues until June 21, aims to conduct over 100 yoga events including awareness drives, workshops, and focused sessions. NIRAMAYA’s impactful outreach has been widely appreciated and stands as a testament to its commitment to yoga education and community wellness.
