SCC Meetings 

Kerala SCC meets on Sampark

The Kerala State Chapter of Indian Yoga Association held its meeting on May 30, 2021 on Sampark. The point discussed in the meeting included Foundation Course in Yoga which will commence of June 11, 2021.

Members were also informed that from June 15, 2021 the videos from Yogacharyas will be live on live on zoom platform to mark the 7th edition of International Day of Yoga. Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony will be Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, Vice Chairperson, Puducherry UT Chapter Committee on History of Yoga. One of the sessions will be taken by Shri Harilal on Yoga Therapy.

All the member institutions would requested to organise programs on the occasion of IDY under IYA.

Shri Sudhakar suggested that all the committee members of Kerala should also participate in IDY week. On May 31, 2021, the state chapter organised a meeting with the Life Members.

Jharkhand SCC prepares for IDY 2021

The Jharkhand State Chapter Committee of Indian Yoga Association held its monthly meeting on May 31, 2021. The meeting was presided over by Swami Bhaveshanand Ji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Morabadi.

The agenda of the meeting included planning for the International Day of Yoga and the activities to be un­dertaken in the month of June month. The ways to speed up membership drive was also taken up. Other is­sues to be included academic activities, accreditation activities, research activities, courses & examinations, yoga competitions and projects.

RJ SCC charts out a plan for forthcoming events

The monthly meeting of Rajasthan State Chapter Committee of IYA was held on May 30, 2021 from 11 am- 12 noon on Google Meet. The meeting saw the presence of Shri Vinod Pareek, Chairman, Shri Arvind Kumar Pandey, Vice Chairperson (Examination), Shri Samder Singh Rathore, Joint Secretary, Dr Purnendu Sharma, Joint Secretary (Co- Research), Dr Gunjan Garg, Joint Secretary (Research), Dr.Vimla Sheoran, Vice Chairperson, Shri Sandeep Kasna, Joint Secretary (Co- Media), Smt.Vijay Lakshmi Chaturvedi, Joint Secretary and others.

The agenda discussed in the meeting included events to be organised in the month of June 2021. From 1-3 June 2021, under the aegis of NMI Rajasthan and IYA from 1st to 3rd June a three day yoga, pranayama and meditation workshop would be organised by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari in Rajasthan. Further it was decided that on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti on June 13, 2021 from 8 am to 9 am the state chap­ter will organise ‘Yajna ve Aushadham’— Yajna is Medicine. The theme for the program would be ‘Sarve Santu Niramaya’. From 14-18, June, a 5 day camp would be organised where sukhshma vyayama, pranaya­ma, mediation would be taught to the participants of Google Meet. On June 21, 2021, a webinar on the topic Evening Yoga will be held jointly by Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari and Rajasthan SCC of IYA.

The meeting concluded with a Shanti mantra.
