QCI holds Online Training on WASH for IYA Members 

An exclusive online training for members of the Indian Yoga Association on the Workplace Assessment for Safety & Hygiene (WASH) Standard was conducted by experts from Quality Council of India (QCI) on September 21, 2020, from 10am to 2pm.

The training was conducted and administered by the members of QCI namely Dr. A. Raj, Senior Director, Dr. R. N. Shukla, Director, Dr. Mahavir Tiwari, Deputy Director, Mr. Alok Verma, Accreditation Officer and Kriti Mukherjee, Junior Associate.

The WASH Standard has been developed by QCI to assist organizations in their preparedness to mitigate risks arising out of COVID-19 and continue operations safely. It includes the following 15 elements:

  1. Management commitment
  2. Regulatory & other requirements
  3. Business continuity
  4. Risk management
  5. Communication
  6. Hygiene & Safety
  7. Preventive measures
  8. Training & awareness
  9. Waste management
  10. Ventilation
  11. Public interaction
  12. Supply chain
  13. Transport management
  14. Documentation requirements
  15. Control of discriminatory practices

The meeting saw detailed discussion on WASH Scheme and its objectives, applicability and outcome, The WASH Standard, all the 15 elements and the requirements contained therein, registration and assessment process, checklists and reports and the benefits of WASH and the fee structure.

The training saw presence from Smt.Rashmi Sharma, Shri Ashis Kumar Pal, Shri B Prakash, Smt.Bhavna, Shri BK Jha, Smt.Madhuri Katekar, Shri Dhan Raj Jangid, Dr Bhavin B Desai and others.
