State Chapter Committee Meetings 

Delhi SCC meets at IYA Headquarters

The first physical meeting of Delhi State Chapter Committee was held on 25 January 2021 at IYA, Dwarka Office. The meeting was chaired by Dr Parminder Gulia, Chairper­son of the Delhi SCC. The meeting was attended by the state chapter member namely Dr Parminder Gulia, Chairperson, Professor SB Arora, Secretary, Shri Devesh Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary, Dr Ramesh Kumar, Joint Secretary, Shri Praveen Prabhakar, Joint Secretary (Press), Shri Nikhil Yadav, Member (Membership), Shri TN Hassija, Life Member, Smt. Rita Hassija, Life Member. Smt. Shruti Prabhakar, Associate Editor, Yogavani was also present on the occasion.

The meeting saw discussions about speeding up the individual and institutional membership drive, engaging in conducting online yoga programs and promoting them on extensively on social media, organising meet­ings on regular basis to kickstart the activities for the propagation of yoga in the capital.

J&K SCC meets Online

The Jammu and Kashmir State Chapter organized its online meeting on January 24, 2021 at 11.30 am. The meeting was chaired by Shri Dr Shreyansh Kumar Jain, Chairperson of the State Chapter. Others who at­tended the meeting included Shri Anil Swaraj, Smt. Sudha Chander Sharma, Shri Lal Singh Nag, Shri Aditya Sharma, Smt. Meenakshi Bhatt, Smt. Ranu Thaper, Shri Dev Yog Raj and Shri Bansi Lal.

The discussion were held on ‘Mari Yog Yatra aur nishkarsh’. Further it was decided that the state chapter would meet once a month. Every member present spoke put forth their views. It was also proposed by the esteemed members to start short time yoga certification courses of different duration and at different levels i.e. Foundation course (Level I, Level 2), Yog Instructors courses and Disease oriented courses. The meeting concluded with the Chairperson extending thanks to everybody present.

UP State Chapter discusses expansion

Uttar Pradesh State Chapter Committee met in Lucknow on January 19, 2021. The meeting was chaired by Dr Amarjeet Yadav, Chairperson of the State Chapter. The points discussed during the meeting included complete expansion of the state chapter, membership drive, following the rules in line with the Center, selec­tion of place for office, bank account of UP Chapter, broadcast of e-Magazine and others.

The meeting also received the blessings of Dr. Jaideep Arya ji, Regional Coordinator, North Region and Joint Secretary, IYA. The meeting saw the presence of Shri Bhagwan Singh, Dr. Ramesh Chandra, Dr. Naveen Singh, Dr. Sanjeev Pandey, Smt. Shalini Mehrotra, Shri Akhilesh Pandey, Smt. Bandana Barnwal, Shri G. Piyush Kant, and Shri Amar Singh Bhadoria from the State Chapter.
