Vice-Chairman, Yoga Vidya Niketan honoured as ‘Eminent Yogacharya’
IYA congratulates Shri Durgadas Savant, Vice-Chairman, Yoga Vidya Niketan for being honoured with the title of ‘Eminent Yogacharya’ by Indian Yoga Association. He has been awarded this title based on the contribution towards IYA. This is a distinguished honour, as only handful dignified personalities in the field of Yoga have been bestowed with this title by IYA since its inception in 2008. He has never compromises on traditional Yoga principles. He always puts forth his views assertively wherever any compromises are made with traditional Hatha Yogic Principles. His recent contribution to IYA’s ‘formulation of the protocol for de-addiction with help of Yoga’, in association with Dr Deepak Bagadia, under the leadership of Dr Ganesh Rao is worth noticeable.
