SWEET PORRIDGE

By Traditional Yoga & Vedic Nutraceuticals (VN)

Ingredients : (serves one)

VN Yuktha Poshaka Upaahara (Any time cereal) – 30 grams
VN Himalayan dry fruits mix – 30 grams
Dry apples – 30 grams (cut & soaked overnight)
Mamra Almonds – 30 grams (roasted and Powdered)
Cow Ghee – 5 grams

Method of preparation :

In a heavy-bottomed pan, add ghee & slow roast the cereal and dry fruits one after the other over medium to low heat until it turns golden brown. Keep aside.
Roast mamra almonds on low flame & grind them to powder.
Combine the roasted cereal, Himalayan dry fruits and roasted almond powder.
Soak the prepared mixture in a 1:7 ratio (1 part cereal mixture to 7 parts water) overnight (12 hours).


Next day morning, in a heavy-bottomed pan, add the soaked cereal mixture and soaked dry apples and cook with occasional stirring on a low flame for 20-30 minutes till the cereal grains become soft and achieve a semi-solid consistency. Serve hot.
